Products - Structural Timber
Hoppings range of structural timber products consists of un-treated and preservative pre-treated (Tanalised E), principally home grown carcassing. The core products come regularised with four eased edges as standard, are kiln dried, structurally graded to C16 and preservative treated to use class 3 as standard (as our joists are often used to construct the supporting frames of garden decks as well as ‘covered’ roofing applications, we unusally treat the core joists sizes to an external treatment specification as standard).
 |
This means our merchant customers benefit
from not having to stock two specifications of joists
and take comfort in the fact they are selling joists that
are fit for purpose in external situations, (above ground).
As well as the popular joist sizes, we also offer treated
firings and battens.
All our carcassing is available as FSC certified, although our core range of treated joists are supplied FSC certified as standard.
Hoppings Softwood Products can also offer engineered structural grade timber in long lengths and heavy sections with a planed surface finish (if required). This type of product is created by defect cross cutting large section whitewood and re-bonding it back together using finger-jointing and cross-linked adhesive technology. The product is supplied PEFC certified and C24 graded as standard, in lengths and sections up to 12m and 160 x 280mm respectively.
